This house burned on 9/11/2001 but some of the old oak trees are still present were the house once stood. I was born and raised in this house and have a lot of great memories from living in it. A lot of my friends were afraid to spend the night with me because they though it was haunted. I'm sure I helped instigate those haunted stories.

1850 – The first Methodist Church was established in Riverton and was made out of logs. It was relocated in 1892 to where the water’s edge is today. It was eventually moved again in 1951 to where it currently sits along the side of Rose Trail. The bell inside came from England. The bell was originally in the Baptist Church that Mr. Alfred Parrish created. The benches inside were made by the Bryant family. I grew up going to this church. It was usually only about 10 of us present for service. The Church has not been in service for many years now.

This church was overgrown with trees and bushes when I was a kid. It had no windows in it. I used it for a clubhouse. I hunted squirrels out of it and use to skateboard inside of it. The locals have done a great job making this a great church. Church service is held on a weekly basis.
